I3 - I Cubed

Just like Stevenson’s Principle number 4 states, “Life is a triunity having three necessary united factors; Intelligence, Force & Matter.” The Last Chiropractor consulting firm sees Success as a triunity having three necessary united intelligences; universal, innate, and educated intelligence.

Dr’s Mjoen & Headlee, founders of The Last Chiropractor consulting firm, incorporate this Triune of Intelligences in all aspects of counseling their clients. I3 Consulting, a name coined to represent the application of this Triune of Intelligences to building dream practices grounded on chiropractic’s philosophy of life.

Universal intelligence, innate intelligence, and educated intelligence are critical to understand and apply to be one of The Last Chiropractors. Each month we will define and give action steps to help you apply these intelligences to your life and practice, assisting you in getting on the right path to becoming one of The Last Chiropractors.

Practice Procedures

In this inaugural issue of The Last Chiropractor monthly newsletter it is only appropriate we discuss how we grow the practice. In this first issue we discussed having the right person at the front desk and procedures for answering the phone. This is one important procedure that needs to be done flawlessly. There are many different procedures that need to be mastered which we will touch on in future issues. In order to grow your practice you need to be in control of two key areas. New Member procurement and Member visit average or retention of each new member. Office location, office layout, cleanliness of the office and the time you spend with each member are also important but not key.

Getting new members and managing them properly is everything. In this issue we will be giving an overview of patient management. Proper member management will be generally discussed in this issue and broken down into more specifics in future issues. So let’s take a New Member from beginning to end doing all the right things at all the right times.

1. First the New Member (NM) calls the office. Proper phone procedures schedules an appointment at the most appropriate time for both NM and doctor.

2. NM arrives at office and is warmly greeted, fills out NM registration, NM file completed and made available for the doctor and NM is put into exam room.

3. Doctor warmly greets NM and introduces him/herself, sits down knee to knee and gets history, makes exam statement, does exam, makes x-ray statement, takes x-rays and releases NM explaining ROF will be forthcoming the next day.

4. NM arrives for ROF on day 2, warmly greeted by front desk, put into room for ROF, doctor enters, greets and gives NM their ROF then excuses himself, NM given financial consult and then NM is taken to area for their first adjustment.

5. New Member is given their first adjustment and orientated to how they will move around the office for future care. They are given a list of do’s and don’ts and scheduled for the next upcoming Health Care Class.

6. 30 days later the member is re-examined and re-reported to as we measure progress to date and report that progress to the member. Planting the seeds for referrals at this time along with other appropriate times.

This is a snapshot of what happens to a new member as they receive care from the last chiropractor. There are many details to discuss in upcoming issues. Over time we will cover each area explaining how The Last Chiropractor goes about the day to day operation of their practice.

Believe In Yourself!

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win, but you think you can’t,
It is almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will-
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later the person who wins
Is the one WHO THINKS THEY CAN!”
